Depends a lot on the last time the grader went thru.

Try one of those roads on a sport bike with hard suspension and slick tires, not much fun. My previous FJR1300 fully loaded weighed in at 350 +kg plus my fat ass. Then when the back flicks out on loose gravel and all your weight rather high, that's not much fun either.

I try to avoid all dirt roads at all times.

I just ordered a copy of Twisted Throttle, get it tomorrow with O/N delivery.

    Vespa's can handle gravel

    Morning all

I am the mad on Vespas friend. Basically they can go anywhere. We rode over Red Rocks devil's gate one day and freaked out some guys on dirt bikes.

The reason I am interested in the Atlas is that every year we do this ride. http://motoretta.co.nz/ and it is good to get a little bit of insight into the roads that we will be riding

As for gravel it isn't created equal, but the stains on the undies are always the same colour when it starts to get too loose.

    thanks again for the suggestions

My son bought me one couple of years ago for my Birthday was out of print at that time but he found one.
Good book damn good task to complete all the rides in it as a bucket list goal.
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '

Kind of what I thought when I didn't have one.
I didn't get it new but am told it has never even been out of its sleeve.
I don't have time or money for fun at the moment.
If someone wants a copy let me know what you think it's worth and I'll decide if in want to hang on to it for another few years till I do have time to use it.
