Self imposed "World Police force" make an offer Syria cannot refuse? - Yeah Right!

We (the gatecrashers) will vacate the party that we gatecrashed - provided that the host tells the "invited guests" to leave first? How generous can the get?

https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-...iran-withdraws Even though the invited guest (Iran) was not actually attending the party? . .

Real terrorists step aside and peace begins it's slow recovery?

    https://www.davidicke.com/article/48...syria-conflict

[Quote] The SDC delegation visited Damascus for the first time after President Assad said that he was “opening doors” for negotiations with Syrian Kurds that he said had "apparently become wary" of their unpredictable ally - the United States. [End Quote]

    End Game in Progress ?

    House cleaning continues in Syria:

    https://southfront.org/isis-loses-la...inues-advance/

But what next ? An interesting article from Robert Fisk:

    https://www.counterpunch.org/2018/07...he-syrian-war/

Regarding rebuilding of Syria, it would seem "sad" if some of
the ME states (like Qatar) that funded rebel groups and who
aided in the destruction of Syria were to benefit financially
    from the rebuild.

Fisk's article did not discuss what might happen to the east of
the Euphrates river in current Kurdish territory. Perhaps that
aspect is being dealt with separately:

    https://www.rt.com/newsline/434514-s...-negotiations/

Russia and Turkey are probably going to come to some agreement in
the round of Astana format talks currently underway (and in which
the US did not want to participate):

    https://sputniknews.com/middleeast/2...commission-un/

So it seems that the only part of the puzzle missing is the withdrawal
    of US and European forces.

Maybe Donald came to some secret (treasonous?) agreement with Putin
while he was in Helsinki ?

Whereby US and European governments can claim that "their goals have
been achieved, and that their forces can now go home" ? Who knows ?

You can easily skip the "theory" and start reading part-way down the article at the section
headed "The Contemporary State Of Affairs In Syria"

    So Much for European Values

While the military situation is still far from settled, one would have
thought that European self interest at least would have promoted
some engagement with the Russian initiative.

    Meanwhile back in the Jungle?

https://www.rt.com/op-ed/436783-us-s...attack-bolton/ Wow another Syrian chemical attack - lets shoot off some old rockets to show the world that we care!!

It's an old idea but it just might work, after all we are still here (in Syria) where we are not wanted or needed.
