    Custom moulded ear plug recommendations?

With kiwiplugs closed is there anyone else that sells the DIY kits that people have used?

Or at least a place that makes them for you, that isn't too expensive in the Auckland region. I had a quick look at prices, most seemed to be in the region of $200+ while the Kiwiplugs kits were $80 but obviously I got in too late for those.

Plugz 4 Lugz charged me $80 for them to mold them to my ears. It still fits perfect over a year later.

Knew I should have sorted it when I was down that way last month was hoping for somewhere a little closer to home now though but that is an option next time I have a weekend away.

Plugz 4 lugz closed too. I just bought elastin custom fitted plugs from pacific ears. Wasn't cheap but what price can you put on your hearing.

I used to use 'Ear Buddies'. They're actually designed for drummers. I guess I'll have to get some more as the original ones fell apart after a few years.

That's good to know; I lost mine a few years ago
Been making do with the ones I use in music (beehive looking things) but they aren't as comfortable inside a close fitting helmet.

    Plugz 4 Lugz

Sorry, we haven't been attending to many events (due to circumstances beyond our control) but definitely still available to make earplugz in Rotorua. We will be at the Paeroa Street Races next month. Sue 027 659 1583

Any plugz 4 lugz owners care to tell us about their experience with them ?

I'm currently using soft, silicone xmas tree shaped 3M ear plugs that work quite well.

I use them almost every time I ride (anytime I would be going above 50 kmh) . Super easy to put in but perhaps not quite as quiet as the ones I used previously (3M foam ones, although I might have been miss using those). There was a while I wasn't riding as much and I think my ears changed shape a little so they can be uncomfortable to put on at first but then my ears sort themselves out and I forget that I am wearing them. Would be happy to get another set in the future when I need them.
