    Wellington Buckets, round 3

what a beautiful days racing is all i can say!!!

my account of the days racing,

    Practice:
i went out on ma new FXR150 with fishie out on his DRZ400 clearing the stones of the track, being the first time on my new bike i was just chilling it then Ivan cam out and we had a little bit of a battle, but he's only got a 50 so ma 150 ate it down the straights. the track was mint and dry as a bone (which comes once a year in the Hutt) so i could start seeing what the bike was going to do, the practice was really long and i spent ages out there just getting used to it

    Race 1
i got a mint start and got out in front of everyone only to be over taken buy Fishie, Jay and Bayden on turn one!!! i kept trying to stay up with them but my riding skills and tires just wernt up to it!! og well i ended up being by myself for a while when a guy (dont know his name, rides a RG/MB 100 its black) came flying past me down the straight!!! his bike is so farking fast!!! i ended up 5th in the end so was quite pleased

    Race 2
i didnt get my usual great start but got into about 8th i think, this racce i was determined to get at least fifth but it just didnt happen!!! i ended up losing the back end so bad that i wasm completly side ways, peg on the ground opposite lock and on the limiter!! but by the grace of god or something it stayed up i got past two people to end up 6th i think

we didnt have any more races cause we couldnt be bothered lol but it was great to see some new faces out there and having a blast. for next time i think i will get me some new stick slicks!!!!

I popped down to have a look....It was cool!!

We didn't stay for too long but long enough to see what it was about and to get me even more keen.

Now I gotta find me a bucket!

The offer stands... or were you looking for a decent one?

I enjoyed myself while the gearbox worked; last every race I think but my average lap speed was up 5kph at the end of the day while the max speed didn't change.

Now to learn how to ride.

Don't you guys have 'L' plates?

I'd be interested in a front disc setup and wheels - I have forks already.
Don't have a spare $150 at the moment either else I'd take the whole thing.

PM on it's way to ya... I saw two FXR's out there while Jay was out on the Bandit... Can't tell them apart now but from memory one was more complete/standard.

    Cheers guys.

Sorry Skunk...I'm not so keen on the a100...those skinny wheels scare the crap out of me.

And Glenn, that was me on the CBR. I might have a rolling chassis lined up but if that falls through and you still have one available I might be keen (if anyone gets in before that's all good though).

What's the general feeling about building a bucket from a 250cc chassis and dropping an appropriate engine in? Are they too heavy or can you get away with it?

as a guess I'd say Speedpro?
