I got hit with something similar a month or so ago. Fuckin annoying. Best way to get around it, short term, was to do a Windows Restore to a point before I installed the software and it's sneaky POS adware. That seemed to stop it from doing what it was doing. After that, Malwarebytes was duly paid for and the whole thing put to rest.

Thing is, I declined the sneaky POS adware during the download (from Tucows), yet it declined my declaration and carried on installing said sneaky POS. There ought to be a law against that shit .

    Best of luck.
    I didn't think!!! I experimented!!!

Not familiar with that one, but try Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.

Failing that, go hunting under AppData in the user directory, look for most recent folders or files across Local, Roaming etc. Often rubbish file names.

Hey guys just thought Id let you all know how I got on. I tried a few of the suggestion with no luck, I even lashed out and did something stupid without checking any reviews I brought SpyHunter4 Adaptive Spyware Detection and Removal Tool. What a piece of crap software, so out of pocket on this one. So anyway while searching I came across a youtube video on how to remove said adware/spyware downloading and installing a program called (Revo Uninstaller) which I tried, it did a complete uninstall of firefox and then scanned the registry for any left over files, which it then allowed me to check before any or all files where deleted. I did this with the chrome browser as well. Reinstalled both browsers and have not had any problem since.

Anyway thanks again for the help / suggestions.
