Well done to Ed and Mrs. Bear. It's nice to hear happy stuff for a change around here.

We're coming up for our 30th anniversary in a few months - I do sometimes wonder where the time has gone!

Don't get too complacent... My first marriage lasted for 38 years and then, out of the blue she fucked off on me. Three and a half years into the second marriage now, and it just seems so much more right.

That's how we got a good deal on our house. A couple in their 80s split. She said she'd had enough and took the first offer on the place and walked out on him.

Well done guys! I'm certain the kids steal it from you. Can't believe we're already onto the grandkids!

It does happen to people. The only way she will leave me is by dying, and I am doing what I can to keep her healthy. That's just the way it is with us.

We've talked about what we'd do if we lost one of us. Even at my age I feel too tired to start over. I would have to find someone pretty special to take me on.

Sorry, I was meaning special in a lovely lady with an IQ kind of way... Kinda excludes someone blindly and implacably protagonistic and not even female.
