Wally--stay 6 weeks then ya can do the KB track day which is mid north island.
If you find a bike in Auckland-gimme a yeodle and Ill look it over for ya
Mate tell ya what--Ill see what I can do about getting ya on the track here with ya fellow KBers -sod track days --lets getya out there racing matey
Racing will be November 13 at Taupo raceway -Ill talk to the PMCC crew and get ya organised with a day licence (itll cost ya about $150 kiwi for a days racing)
Mella Yella my much abused ZXR400 or Black Ice my minitwins SV650 will be ya ride and the class is called clubmans.
Youll be dicing with 125-1100cc bikes but Taupo is the great leveller --it suits a good rider rather than a powerfull bike. Although Im SLOOOOOOW Ill give ya the rundown on how to go fastish around there

CBR400s are around $2000 don't buy a 250 while you're here as the prices are inflated on them

    the plan...

Hey everyone and thanks yet again!!!

The general plan is fly into Auckland Nov7. I'm not sure if thats your 7 or ours, but its the 7th no doubt! :slap:

fom there is up to the north tip, accents and all! Then off to Taupo and Rotorua to whoop on Frosty on one of his own scoots!!!

Next is Gisbourne, Whitianga, and then down the east coast to the ferry.
South island palnned exploits include Karamea, Hasst, ( a glacier I forgot to write down), Queenstown, Milford Sound, Lahe Te Anua.
Then its up the east coust and then the west coast of North Island.

I'm sure I forgot lots of places ( I'm a closet blonde), but this is the general plan.

    Any more susggestions please?

We are bringing what we have for touring gear, but figure a car will be in the plan as well. Bicycling is looking lesser and lesser.

    Thanks!!! --Wally

let Jimbo and I know when you are coming through Wellington and we may be able to escort you to the ferry.

Jimbo is a mountain biker too - Wellington has some pretty good tracks, especially downhills.

Also, I'm debating between renting bike and jusy buying a beater to scoot around on. Does anyone know the rules with any of this?
Also, I got permission to pack my leathers, so a source for a trackday or two would be sweeeeeettttt!!!!!

    Thanks much!!!
