I need stanchions to suit Suzuki GS1200

Hey all. Got a Suzuki GS1200 with a bent front end. Need new stanchions but they're neither cheap or plentiful. Just wondering what other models from the Suzuki range shared the same forks so I can broaden my search. Does anyone have a parts compatibility guide for forks?

They can be straightened if not badly kinked. Place down here in Christchurch called circle track engineering does an amazing job.
A fraction of the cost of new.
Shop around in your area maybe someone can help

Hmmmm somewhere I have seen a Suzuki front end cross reference document .....

Good thing about Suzukis is it appears easy to swap over fronts. I'd be looking for a Ebay special Haybusa front end or similar :-)

What size are they, that'd be a good start.

If they are Showas like the Bandits then they may well be the same as Honda ones. As far as I have seen its only the lowers that are different and the valves in the carts.

I have a Honda leg here I can measure tomorrow if its a 43mm leg.

i've got a suzuki parts finder program, let him get off his arse and find the part number, he can't even provide the year so once that's sorted it should be easy

Had Boyles check them out and they're fooked. If they managed not to tear them where they've creased, they'll still be compromised. And on a heavy wheelie happy machine, not keen to risk it. Thanks though, a week ago I didn't realise they could be straightened until I had a few mates say so.

43mm thick, haven't pulled them apart yet to get the length.
