    Yup 100%

Plus he just earned his kids Uni fees in one race so that would make the Mrs very happy.

And from Oxley in the public coments below the article, " A lot of people don't get Cal because they don't realise that most of the time he's talking he's kinda taking the piss."

Paying good money to prob get a wet arse ain't my idea of a good GP. Mind you...normally get some rain at PI too.

I didn't see a single loser in MotoGP. A great effort in tricky conditions. Nice to see Crutchlow bag a win, but the ride of the day for me was Marquez. When you mix that much riding talent with clear thinking you can end up with someone who will dominate for quite a few years Ala Rossi

    PS:
I fully expected an "I am the greatest" moment from Crutchlow in Parc Ferme.
no loser, hmmm i think lorenzo scared himself, it was a wet race and he was up in about tenth so thought to himself, cant have this better go change bikes, come out on slicks, still one behind him so go change bikes again, thats better, last place.

as for ride of the day, hard to pick but i think lannone finishing the race with his tyre missing big chunks, not normally a lannone fan but hell thats some ballsy riding, but yeah MM and rossi getting up to 2nd

Much as we want to point and laugh at Lorenzo for bottling out, he did have a reason that I didn't pick up on during the race.

After the race Lorenzo revealed he had been forced to pit not because he wanted slicks but because - like a number of other riders - he was losing chunks of rubber from his soft wet front tyre.

"Seven laps before the end the front tyre tore up, but when I stopped the [damaged part of the tyre] was on the tarmac," Lorenzo said. "So the front tyre looked perfect. It was only when they moved the bike that they understood a piece of the tyre was missing. That's probably why Ramon [Forcada, crew chief] didn't understand why I wanted to change the bike."

This is exactly the conversation I had with my old man the other night. Crutchlow flicks between that dry sense of humor and a banter attitude so frequently that people often just don't get him.
I know a lot of fellas who have a dry sense of humor and you know what they are all about because they stay that way.

    .
Maybe he is just a fuckwit.
A guy in his position earning the sort of money top riders in his position can command should have a good PR advisor.

Nah. The others are all media trained up the wazoo, designer hair and perfume optional. Oxley covered that in his piece.
Whatever he is Crutchlow is real and that's a nice change.

Yup which is why I like Jack Miller too, someone I can relate to not just a Spaniard groomed from age 4 to be a superstar.

Agree. CC says what he thinks and is a bit of fresh air. Bit like the Colin Edwards style. Not kissing arse to sell apparel.
It's OK to disagree with me. I can't force you to be right.
