Lol. Nah just winding certain people up mate. Think you'll be buying my beer this time. Was a perfect storm for old Fantapants to get on the box this year. Be very lucky to have it happen again.

My view is they should HAVE to. OK, they're all gunning for you anyway if you are the sitting World Champ, but there must be an advantage for Gorgeous George in rolling up to the grid wearing it. Not that it helped Stoner particularly in 2012.

    Meh.

I'm slow and used to crash a lot. Do I win?

Rossi didn't take the number 1 plate and neither did Marquez. If a rider takes the number one plate all his T shirts, hats, mugs and other assorted tat become somewhat obsolete for the next year. Keeping the number 46 or 93 or whatever means that the merchanise remains current.

Rossi's merchandising company VR46 handles Marquez's stuff. Well, it did until a few weeks ago...

MM doesn't need Rossi's comp, or anyone's for that matter.

But if they are both making money from the partnership I'll bet it is left as is. They are all in the business of making money and I doubt a bit of hate will get in the way of that.

Exactly. The legion of fanboys thereupon purchase a 'new' set of hats, tshirts, flags, mugs, dildos, etc with the new number, just so they have a complete collection.

Ofc Lorenzo doesn't have the same floatilla of supporters as VR, so it might not be worthwhile for him.

A change in tyres and electronics will help any comeback.

Hope he gets some decent seat time.
