The modern CB400 is not LAMS legal, only the CB400F of the (408cc) late 70s and the CB400N are LAMS legal (395cc)
Grouse bike however and no doubt you'd never get caught, but it could be an issue with insurance

I took this bike for my restricted test and no disapprovals at all from the assessors. It is listed in the LAMS list.
And as stated in the listing I had an insurance repair no problems and was on my restricted licence.

In australia these bikes are LAMS approved and this is an Australian import. Plus its in the LAMS list as well. If people are in doubt from the aftermarket exhaust I have the original as well but it has scratches on it.

Personally I think the 6.5 that someone has bided is a great bid and you should be offering that person the bike if its the only bid you get. You should reset you reserve to 6501 for the next bidder to hit the spot and hopefully a bit of competitiveness will happen.

Im not in a rush to sell the bike tbh. If reserve price hasnt been met then it will just relist. Ive reasoned my price due to a friend that sold an older not really immaculate cb400sf spec3 (2006) for 6500 in march.

Your call but a new z300 is cheaper than your 6 year old bike.

The thing is it isnt about the age that people like me see. I look at the quality of the bike( components and parts) it has adjustable suspensions. Good brakes. Vtec. 4 cylinder. And plus its the only one in nz in this variation (efi model) So rarity counts as well.
I was planning to keep the bike for many years until i got offered another bike for a price i couldnt refuse.

Then the cb400 have also been cult bikes because of their vtec. Just not as popular as those v4 bikes. Lol

All you need do now is educate the learners that that a new bike with 2 year warranty is worth less than a 6 year old bike as your all good then.

If you are a learner which bike represents better value. Yours or the one above.

New r3, new cbr300, new z300 or a long list of sub 2 year old bikes are your competition. Going to be difficult.

I have a rare trailer for sale. Struggling to get a dollar bid on it though.
