I know the 2015 R1 with full exhaust have a real nice "bark" The cross pane has it's own sound for sure

Shit quality vid but enough of a tease to get ya going. The blue is way better than the renderings suggested it would be.

    2016 Yamaha MT-10

Yamaha were at Playday a while back with the R1 and R6. I tried to get a launch date and price but they said they weren't set. Launch then wasn't imminent in NZ and when I asked if it would be spring I got a "cannot deny or confirm" answer. But they said they want it as soon as possible because they expect huge demand.

NZ is going into winter and overseas isn't though. So I'm guessing not before August.

By the look it should be a priced somewhere between the GSX-S1000/Z1000 and the S1000R/Tuono. So more than $18k and less than $25k.

My money is on it being about $22-23k. That compares to $27k for an R1 and $18k for the MT-09 Tracer.

Extra for a Tuono would be worth it then.

Yamaha aren't shy pricing the R1 up close to the RSV4 and 1299 so I reckon they'll do the same with the MT-10. But I do hope I'm wrong.

If they have the inventory they would destroy the completion if it was priced at $20k.

The MT10 with panniers and a screen will be an almost KTM 1290 GT which will be 32k.
