Its the GT mate not the adventure one. This is the touring version of the 1290 SDR. https://www.ktm.com/sports-tourer/12...gt/?color=GREY

Would like to hear the MT10 with a proper pipe on it.

Oh right that's not what I thought at all. I assumed it was going to be like the S1000XR but its actually closer to a regular SuperDuke. Pretty cool actually.

Its a cumfy SDR I guess. MT10 is more in line with the Tuono I guess. But hopefully at a more affordable price point.

It's just possible you guys are being a tad pessimistic. The MT-09 goes for $14,000, maybe the MT-10 won't be too bad.

Maybe around $16-7k mark to rival GSXS1000? :-D

If so where do I pay a deposit!

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

Sure but that's with no ABS, no traction control, no slipper clutch, 45hp less power, budget bin suspension and the same bike as when it was launched.

    Canadian R1 MSRP is $18999
    Canadian FZ-10 MSRP is $15499

If we are the same percentage difference that would be $22k here for the MT-10.

On the other hand the MT-10 in the UK is positioned way cheaper than the R1 and just £300 more than the R6. So $20k is possible.

They would be aware of the very keenly priced big bore Suzuki on the market.

Out of the box probably not quite but if both had aftermarket cans I'd say the Yamaha would sound as good if not better (depending on the can of course).

Looks friggin' sweet! There are tons of genuine aftermarket parts for the straight out of the gate, still haven't heard if they're coming to New Zealand as yet... (?)

Yeah the UK bike is said to be £5k cheap so I agree, between $20 and $22k

The BMW S1000r is 22 with a akro pipe currently. Really good deal.

Asked again about when and how much for the MT10 and got a shrug of the shoulders.

Wow, $22k is very sharp for a 1000R, updated version due out?

The 1290 GT is a very interesting bike but so it should be at $32k!
I'd assume/expect the MT-10 to sound very similar to the R1, based on that the Akra and Arrow pipes are among the best I've heard, Two Bros not bad either.

Looks to be a runout kinda deal. But the last year of a model is the best?
