Is it my imagination or have we had more fires since fuel injected bikes became common ?
I'm certainly not happy with dry break connectors and fuel lines carrying high pressure on race bikes where the tank is held on by guess and by god.
Personally I'd love to see the street circuit deadmans switch used on all tracks where a bike has injection.
No wonder there's nothing happening on the Sidecar Racing thread, you've all jumped ship to this one. So my fire extinguisher is mounted to the sidecar, does that mean someone would have to ride it to Riders briefing?
Be a good question for a sidecar person to ask at briefing. Rule says must have an extinguisher in the pit. Another rule says must have one on the chair...When the outfit is on track you don't have one in the pit....How many fires happen in an empty pit ?
Claim unfair treatment - looks like sidecar competitors need 2 extinguishers....
Did someone mention fire extinguishers?![]()
You don't get to be an old dog without learning a few tricks.
Shorai Powersports batteries are very trick!
...when NZ was way behind and we were young and silly enough to want something like a FX Holden with a Jag motor and box, put in quite roughly by some fisherman hooligans from my town, and eagerly lapped up by some 15-16 year olds, My mate Barry who was 17 and skinny as, six foot four and silly enough to spend that kind of coin in 74.
We took her out to town, Chch, round the Square...it caught fire second time round, just when we thought we were lookin good...Barry saved the day by flopping his dick in the engine well when I lifted the bonnet and pissed over the carb and manifold from a great height, where the shit was happening...I doubt he had any training before the event...
