Things you haven't done for a while

Bit chilly and the electric blanket signed off a couple of days ago. Can't buy a new one as, evidently it's not the season for them according to Briscoe's The wife's side works but mine doesn't. I know it's 'Summer' but I like to have a warm bed when I get home from a late night at work and it's only 8 degrees outside.

Answer, the hot water bottle that's been in the cupboard for years. Boil the kettle and try to remember when the last time that I filled a bloody hot water bottle ! Memories come back, remember not to get your fingers burnt and the bloody thing tends to gurgle ie pour it slow as you start filling it. Must be 20 years since I've done that. Holy shit.

Come on, you have a couple of options.
Spend half an hour alone 'trying' to fix it, inexpediently the problem swaps sides=miracle
or move closer to the wife

and yes AWA we won't tell you

I've been laying on top if my bed with no blankets, using after sun gel and a small fan to cool me down enough to go to sleep for the past 2 weeks...

I wish I had your issue.

I have had that in the past- the heat and stress keeping me up
    Reduce caffeine intake
I have changed things around and become more relax, keeping my fluids up helps

Tell ya what.. be prepared for a dump of scalding hot water in your fart-sack, & that's quite a bugger, as I know from experience..
..frankly, be advised - you're a being bit game to re-use old rubber like that..

In my neck o`the woods we've been in the mid 30` range - going down to mid 20`s overnight, lately.. I sleep better when its cooler..

The manufacturers tell you NOT to pour boiling water into a 'hottie'. After years of storage the rubber will be perished and if it bursts it will be when it's full of HOT water. Get rid of it!

We did as well, and then got them in before an excellent hail storm just hit us, (no damage) with what looks like more to come

It's been pretty warm in the Waikato, but even in mid winter I never use an electric blanket or hot water bottle, just good insulation and let my own body heat keep me warm. I have no problem keeping warm even in a tent with frost on it (cold kiwi this year).
