Dunno, wasn't there some post-modernist production drama to do with the only 'Nigger' character being killed off, 1/2 way in?

Maybe - if Sir P.J. got Samuel L. Jackson to do an "authentic" voice-over, like James E. Jones did for the original Darth Vader?

If memory serves - Nigger is the Labrador of the Wing Commander and was the name of the real life dog, killed by a Car accident I think.

Not in ages - but good to know my memory is good.

I've accused Cassina of many things - however Racist isn't one.

On a side note - they better not change the name of the Dog.

Yeah, it may be a P.C issue..

& oddly enough, I took over the care of an all-white cat named 'Nigrito' which was a a bit of Aussie/Latino
    humour which translates as 'Blackie'..

P.S. - AFAIR, Patty was referencing John Lennon's Plastic Ono 'Women are the niggers of the world' song there..

I fear it maybe, but it shouldn't - it is simply a historical fact (and some would say is an integral part of the event as Nigger represents the units Esprit de'corps), if we start changing the historical names of things because it offends us - where do we stop?

People use it all over the place now, it doesn't have the same connotations like it used to be.

Go and get it, download it, rip it or whatever the term is but watch the original before the Peter Jackson version comes out with a different theme tune and a dog called Spot.
