Well sounds like you guys had fun today.

I was planning to catch up with you by lunchtime on my way back from Hamilton. Myself and a friend left Auckland just before 9am and hit rain about 20km into Hwy22. Rained all the way down to Hamilton and all the way back up Hwy22. Got the VTR1000 (yes, that's 1000) into a two wheel sideways slide at one point and that was a bit of fun but other than that it was a pretty good ride.

By the time we left Hamilton, grabbed some lunch at Taupiri (nice cafe, good coffee, highly recommend it) and headed back to Ngaruawahia to get onto Hwy22, it was after 2pm so I figured you guys would probably be in the pub by then.

    Oh well, next time!

You would have been riding Nana pace then, right? So could you see yourself on a Thou then Jill?

Yeah, pretty much nana pace, I was pleased that my nana pace is getting quicker in the wet though! The VTR1000 was a very confidence inspiring ride - felt more comfortable on the 1000 than on the 250 in the wet.

Dunno about a thou. Still have to give the 650 a really good blat. The VTR1000 was nice in the twisties but didn't get a chance to really hammer it because it was so wet. WIll be interesting to compare with the 650.

I'm confident you could ride any bike you set your mind to Jill, whatever you upgrade to will be great!

Straight piece of road, in the rain, I wasn't doing anything silly, I think maybe there was a slight bump in the road or something
Good ol cow shit, just add water and you have a skating rink.

Did you all take the Glen Murray turn off,i think i missed that bit ..and was pretty sure of it by the time i got to Huntly It was freakin pi$$ing down by then but have to admit to liking riding in the wet but had forgotten about the stupid "high tech" jacket that lets the water though,it hits the inner liner then runs down into your gloves
