Mate, I was following you out of Kawakawa in the rain. That rear tyre of yours was shooting water a good 10feet vertically into the air, it was like following one of those offshore racers with the big rooster tail. I've never seen anything like it!

Hehehe we picked a good weekend to go fishing, never got wet either.....

10 good sized snappers and a hapuka. And we even got sunburnt!

Will see you on the next ride - if I can get MY way. He loves the fishing, so do I. I love the riding, so does he. BEST OF BOTH WORLDS

I had a great day. Even with the "big wet" (what kind of nutter was on the KTM that pased us on the way to Clevedon - twice!!). Couple of roads that I hadn't been on b4, and a few that I last went down 15 or so years back

On problem I had was the headwind which stopped the little naked 250 in it's tracks

Now to start work on the orienteering ride eh guys?

The KTM wasn't with us, some sort of supa moto I believe. Your little naked 250 was doing just fine. There were a few times in the windy bits where I was happy to sit behind you, your pace was fine. As for the headwinds . . . do what I do and slipstream a faired bike. The guy on the VTR SP got a shock when I came past him on the straights out of Hunua/Papakura, do the same, get behind a 400 or a 4cyl 250 and keep it wide open.

I might have to take your advice about checking out a screen for the VTR. At least if I have something to tuck in behind, it might make me feel like I'm going faster. Still, the run across to Miranda was damn fun, even if I couldn't crack 140

The good news about that is that I didn't have to roll off the fast hand through any of the corners

saw Cibby Chick, Mr Skid and NuanH on 22 just before the bridge... i was heading the other way test riding the R6, probably why no one recognised me.

Looks like you all had a fun day despite the rain, i managed to avoid it except for a few mins worth on the motorway.

Good day for a ride, nice way to ease back into the saddle after a few months out of it. Great to see so many people out and enjoying the counrtyside, regardless of the weather. Had to shoot off after lunch, chased the rain all the way back to Auckland.

What bike was it that was black with the back sorta not there? Someone made a comment like 'that wont go two up' or something at the pub. Was also riding with the guy (dont know ur name sorry) wearing the Corona race leathers?
