    FXR150 Stock Muffler Mod

Have read quite a bit on relocating the stock muffler from the side to under the bike, a mod originally pioneered by hmurphy, but can't seem to find the "how to" thread. Can anyone help out with a link or instructions on how to do this please.

    Much appreciated.

If it doesn't bring a tear to your eye, add a little more fully synth 2T to the mix.

It's pretty easy to work out.

Cut the muffler off, then line it up so that the muffler mount sits where the centre pipe mount normally goes.
Hack up the header to suit an weld it to front of the muffler.

    Pretty much what Koba said.
I ended up using the header pipe and chopping the mid pipe out pretty much entirely.
One thing I have done is cut the mount off the mid pipe and then weld it onto the muffler in the relevant spot so you can use the original mid pipe mount, I've made a few and it's pretty much a case of cut set it up on the bike and tack it then weld it up as proper as I can (not pretty) off the bike, probably haven't made two the same.
    Stock is best
