    wr250f charging voltage

hi all, ive just fitted a new battery to wr250f yesterday, previous battery was pukeru, it fired up right away off the button and i checked the voltage feed and got 12.6 volts..bit low but i dont know what it should be at, anyway i rode the bike today and it started off the button a few times and then no more, all good just used the kicker for the remainder of the day...question is, what kinda voltage feed should i be seeing? and if 12.6v is too low, would i be looking at a stator rewind or replacement? any input appreciated

New battery should sit at 12.6 ish. You'd expect somewhere between 13.5-14.5 while running at say 3000rpmish.

Sounds like your charging system is naffed. Probably the reg/rect. Try following this diagnostic flowchart:

About what it should sit at static, no load, no charge, though small batteries often struggle.

Any update on this issue you had? Sounds like what my KTM has been experiencing.
