What POSSIBLE civilian use can any mag over 5 rds have? As you say, if you're paying for it ammo is kind of expensive, and its not like the pigs and deer and rabbits and whatnot are shooting back at you so you need a tactical advantage.

Its just wannabe bullshit IMO.

I dunno, a 30 round etc mag is pretty awesome when you're spotlighting tbh.

I mean who really needs a 600 - 1000cc ++ bike anyway, they're just expensive and a 250cc will do the speed limit

Have you ever shot an actual rifle or pistol?
Sure the 42 round mag is excessive and doesn't have a lot of practical uses. It lives in my AR in the closet just in case I get a mass home invasion or someone just won't stay still when told...
I only shoot tin cans etc, nothing living as I refuse to eat road kill etc. Shooting is a relatively cheap hobby/pastime and is a hell of a lot of fun.

Yes to both, a little bit, as it happens.

I actually quite enjoy a bit of the old skeet shooting though I am completely arse at it and haven't done it for years. I haven't got time or money for yet another expensive hobby.
