    1988 vfr400

    Hi KBers

For sale is my 1988 VFR400

$2300 ONO, would consider a swap for a bucket racer + cash depending on the quality of the bike.

Have used as a track bike for the past year but have put all the road gear back on her ready for sale.
Reg is on hold, bike does not have a WOF but should pass easily, only thing that might count against it is the exhaust, which is a tiny bit loud but not worse than a lot of the bikes you see on the road.

Had a wee spill on some oil at low speed on the RHS at Ruapuna on a test day, hence the damage to the RH fairings which I have had plastic welded structurally so that they can bolt back on.

Since I have owned it the following work has been done:
New Pirelli sport demons (only used on the track so barely any wear and nice and even all round)
New front brake rotors, pads and calipers rebuilt
    Forks seals replaced
    Front braided brake lines
    Regular oil changes

The bike also has heated grips as well as adjustable levers.

Garaged the whole time that I have owned her.
She starts from cold first time every time with a bit of choke, engine runs excellently, pulls all through the rev range and has no nasty noises or knocks. The V4 engine sounds excellent.

Sorry mate, not LAMS. Would be ok for a learner though as the RVF400 is LAMS approved.

I hope you're not condoning illegal activities Mr. Autech. Illegal activities are for criminals and criminals belong in jail where's there's no motorbikes and who the fuck would want to be in a place that has no motorbikes.

    Not me.

Since Autech's in Aussie and it might be a few days until he sees your comment, yes it is still for sale.

It's a fun bike, I've raced it at Levels in Timaru. Goes pretty dam well and sounds great
