    Round 2 race 1 report

Had a good day. Got poll position for my class. At the start of race I was totally in dream land for the start, which is not me normally. I watched the red light go out and then noticed Gavin vehlim had taken the holeshot and realised the race had started haha , dick head that I am. I got him going into turn 2 and kept the lead for the rest of race. I had a good lead but have no helper so no sign board at all, and again started looking back to see where they were which makes you go slower. I Am finding it a bit hard still to lead a race and not look back, but this will change soon, as soon as I am a little more comfortable with racing the track only only by leading races. Still a second off lap record also, but other classes are not braking records either, so maybe the track is not quite as good as a few years ago, I have no idea, as it has been 11 years since I last raced here. Will update tomorrows result after I sober up on Monday

Don't worry about the others, ride your own ride.

It would be OK to look back if you wanted to pull over and stop to avoid taking someone else out.

Concentrate on you, the bike and the race.

I was at Wanganui this year, almost stepped on your 2 fairings lying on the ground.
Your pit crew must be slacking......

    Keep up the good work.

Not worth its own thread, thought I'd just hijack your thread instead.

Even my daughter watched a bit of it and said it was well videoed, not Shaun's arse but that was shown, but yes it was quite well done compared to what I remember of the old TV coverage but 1 hour was a bit brief but I did get to see stuff I didn't see on the day live when watching in one place at a time.

2 wins today, and a 52 point lead in my class. Jacob stroud may have beaten me in race 2 with a faster bike? But I also may have ridden mine quicker if I had too, who know's if I could have or not.
