Shaun Went to Eurobike this year and arranged a couple of Regina Chains as awards at the first couple of rounds, and left it to the commentators to select the people.
I called him up at prizegiving and introduced him, although he needed no intro as everyone knew him. I commented on how ugly he was, and that was coming from me! and asked the crowd if anyone would dare put anything in their fridge that looked like that.... we had a laugh afterwards and he was in such good spirits with his riding and life at the time. He's the grittiest character I know and his comeback path had given him focus and something to aim for and had paid off big time, and he wasn't scared to be so thankful to all that had put faith in him, and acknowledge his feeling of having accomplishment and won over the hearts of a few people who'd knocked him over time, including among others; Sidecar Bob on here.
We are all feeling hurt Shaun and wish you and those around you well mate.
details for the Cam Jones trust are attached to help with continued support, or if you'd like to donate directly to the family please don't hesitate to PM for either direction.
    thanks

    Hi KB Members,

I am one of many people on one of Shaun's other web hangout spots, WERA Racing Forums in the US, that send our prayers and well wishes to Shaun and his family.
Even though we are separated by thousands of miles and an ocean, we all care for him and we all share the same love of 2 wheels. So hoping all the positive vibrations help .

Please keep us updated if you can, as I know many of us are monitoring this thread.

We also have a thread on our forums for him, and anyway we can help, please let us know.

    Copied from Facebook:
Fiona's post from yesterday: So today is day 7. Shaun sometimes breaths himself they will put a trachy tube in on Monday to try and encourage him to wake. He's only on light sedation he is asleep/unconscious by his own means. He will have another scan on his head to check the bleeds. I know he is aware that we are there. Beginning of a long journey. Thank you for all the support and well wishes.

Shaun has had no sedation on all day so they can try to start assessing him. He's been quite agitated however awake and mouthing stuff. One is "out of here". He tried to worm his way down the bed and has pulled naso tube and arterial line out. I told him not to do it again, he rolled his eyes. I said the more I say that the more determined you are. He mouthed yep, soo they have popped some sedation back on. ( wish i could take some of that home) Still at least he's starting path back.

it is very pleaseing to see people not speculating here, Shauns got a long way to go and his wife Fiona is posting occasional stuff on failbook, which is being passed onto here. long may it stay that way, until Shauns back on here himself.

    From Fiona via Facebook

Yesterday (day 12) the nurses hoisted Shaun into a chair for half an hour. Sedation had to be put back on the night before as he gets too agitated. They have changed pain relief as they not sure if this is adding to it. He didn't recognise me and Petra but it was an amazing experience to see him in a chair. It's a beautiful day here this morning so hope it brings lots of positives.
