There are a few people who have posted on this thread who have crossed swords with Shaun in the past. Not one of them has failed to wish him a speedy recovery.

    Get well soon Shaun

    Get well soon Shaun!

Just to clear up weather I give a shit as per an earlier post by the village idiot, I had a good catch up with Shaun less than an hour before his mishap, we talked the usual old shit, wished each other a good weekend, shook hands & went our ways.
I was also a party to the incident & his status, which to be frank is rather grim at this stage.
If I thought wishing him well on a public forum would help then I would.

I think Sean will get a kick out of reading this thread when he's resting up and planning his next racing adventure

Lets hope we hear some good news soon.

Shaun and I worked together at the New Plymouth Motorcycle Centre and raced together for Suzuki in 2000. He would always help me out and I know he can rub a few people up the wrong way but the world would be a pretty boring place without people like him! So dig deep brother and see you soon!

Seen a lot of negative stuff over the years on here about him (I don't know the full story and am not asking for it here), but every interaction I've had with him on the site has been positive - he knows his stuff and is happy to share his knowledge.

All the best for a speedy recovery Shaun.

Gingas have a unique way of pissing some people off.
Love him or hate him one does have to have respect for what he has achieved.
One needs larger than average sized testicles to race IOM and more especially on an unpredictable Britten.

Dig deep this time Shaun mate

Get well Shaun, I've never had the pleasure to meet you but have conversed on FB. YOUVE BEEN HERE BEFORE. Battle on your in good hands. You are an inspiration to all who have come through serious injury.

When you pull through it would be an honour to meet you in person. Rest repair get well.

My best wishes to your family, stay strong stay positive.

It would be fair to say I have crossed swords with Shaun on more than one occasion. But no one deserves what has happened to him a second time even though he would have been fully aware of the risks involved in the sport . And although it is only a small gesture I can only wish him well and hope he pulls through this one. Thinking of his wife and family and close friends at this time.

Now being reported on national radio bulletins this morning, recognised the name from here. Sad news, hope there's a speedy recovery.

No words can describe how devastating this is for Shaun and his family.
To be as good as he is at motorcycle racing pushing the limits is routine and crashing is part of the gig but to have this happen so soon into his comeback is seriously tragic.
He definitely proved a lot of people wrong, myself included, and we've had to eat humble pie and acknowledge not only his talent but his dedication and determination.
Let's hope those same characteristics are enough to help pull him through this tragedy and back to health.
    All the best bro.
