re the Maxi pad, when they were common I could never work out if they were coming or going, I can't remember seeing many in any colour other than that either?
Same with the allegro except they seemed to be nearly all Blue.

I think the green colour was called avocado? And the yellow was called Bold as Brass?

I think the maxis only saving grace was it had a decent engine size and a 5 speed. I can't actually remember the last time I seen one.

They actually had pretty decent Lockheed 4 piston callipers, The calipers used to be quite sort after for putting on Rally Escorts.
I read in a book they were actually meant to be a hatchback but something went wrong they couldn't stop it leaking or something and changed it at the last minute.

Entries remain open until the interwebs collapse...

Have to agree about the Maxi, not really a mans car though.

The AU Falcon was the ugliest of the breed and it dented sales big time for Ford, but it's surprising how many of them are still on the road.

Two of the guys I work with drive AU's and swear by them. My neighbour has an AU Fairmont which he probably polishes once a week, it's mint. Eye of the beholder and all that I guess ...

I have never been partial to these but always wonder what they would look like, with a decent set of rubber and mag wheels and a darker paint job (2 tone) racing strip

Now the plain version was indeed fugly. Boring nose, wheels too small, sat too high on those wee wheels....
The XR version with the Tickford engine, suspension, lowering and other goodness plus the entire nose and body kit transformed it and sold well.

I have the XR6 in Vemon Red, larger wheels, tinted windows - looks ace - I get a lot of positive comments. Goes bloody well, surprising good on fuel for a big donk and simple to work on.

Matchy matchy colour with my Ducati too! Picture the day after getting the bike.

Eh? is it even leather covering it? That's weird. Though in some ways the concept is similar to the Atom - space frame design ....... know which one I'd like!
