Aesthetics i guess... my mental picture of the perfect style doesn't include a leg waving around under brakes. YMMV.

I just can't imagine how I could do that leg waving while max braking in a straight line, never mind tipping into a corner at the same time.

Bring on round 3. Aragon is said to be the first of the "normal" circuits so we can see who does well there. - Pity Portugal is gone. That is a nice track.

I just wish I understood it. Couple theories about it and all. But since so few people can ride fast enough to do it, I can't talk to anyone about it.

The explanations I have seen are exceedingly vague. Usually about the level of, "It feels better".

When watching a close contest though I get the impression that a more factual explanation might be, "It makes me harder to pass".

Most of them only dangle the left leg. Superglue though is ambidextrous and will sometimes dangle either or. Especially if someone is trying to pass him?

Whew I thought I was going to get reemed.

Lorenzo doesn't do it and neither does Rins and they're both fairly quick.

Does seem to be used to make yourself look wider and unovertakable.

If it had anything to do with weight distribution, they'd wave it behind them rather than in front.

I've tried it of course, and it does force you to load the outside peg like you're meant to. But I'm too slow to know if it has any other effect.

Wicked races. Not quite as epic as Philip island but by the dust all over the track I think the riders did well. Plenty of concrete run off meant that the guys were pushing quite hard and getting away with a fair few stuff ups resulting in less crashes I think. Was surprised to see Sykes get the better of Rea, but according to the commentary Thailand isn't a track with great tyre wear so it remains to be seen if he can keep that pace all year.

VDM is top notch, love his riding and great to see the Honda finally having some straight line legs. Likewise in the WSS class it's keeping up rather well now too so Honda have clearly thrown some money that way.

I think Superglu may be up for a few big challenges this year if this keeps up, his shiny new team mate looks to be hungry to show him up.

It looks so amateurish, like some kid pottering around in the supermarket carpark.

It's a bit quiet around here considering the Aragon action kicks off tomorrow night?

Because we all think Rea will dominate?

    Guinters for a podium...

Certainly a fuck load faster in a straight line this year finally. But Rea + Kawasaki is a hard combination to beat
