To be free is to accept the consequences of your acttions
None so blind as will not see.
We all think we're fuckin fighter pilots don't we, it's practically wank factor nine ffs.
Does anyone look at the scenery, or are you all too preoccupied with the challenge of operating the equipment?
I don't find riding a motorcycle to be paticularly difficult, even with analogue instruments I have to look at.
Grumpy old men don't like change do they?
I love the smell of twin V16's in the morning..
Im probably the least grumpy person on here, I'm incredibly happy & fulfilled & also a competent motorcyclist in a number of disciplines, I just find the concept pisstake worthy.
Sounds like it's aimed at people that have been told that riding a motorcycle will make you appear trendy & hip this season, kind of like those lumberjack beards that have sprung up everywhere lately.
I remember when people had the same attitude towards EFI and computers on bikes. And 4 cylinders (grump grump two is enough), synthetic oil, disk brakes, O-ring chains (grump grump boil the chain in grease every 5000 ...), heated grips, fairings, breast implants, Viagra, colour tv, FM radio, DVD, Blueray, gas BBQ's, anti skid brakes, etc etc
Does not mean you are wrong or that I disagree with you entirely as there is a goodness in a simply appointed ride - as a side note I read yesterday that Ducati moved 16,000 Scramblers last year making that bike their best ever new model - now that is a simple, basic ride by todays standards.
But - that shit is coming and will be mainstream one day and you'll wonder how you ever did without it. Maybe.
if you can make the thing like a translucent tft that you stick to any visor like the pinlock/anti fog lenses then you'd have a winner especially if it was open and anyone could make apps for it
I agree. Anything more than speeding warning (say a lot the yellow number that shows the variance between your speed and the posted limit), radar detected light, and a blind spot warning is a waste...
Actually the more I think about how visual inputs detract from the experience the less I think I would be willing to use one they weren't a legal requirement.

app can be anything not just farcebook.... everything is an app sitting ontop of another system layer really..... think GPS which you can make exactly how YOU would want it not how some dude who never rides wants it etc etc
