The world is littered with the Offspring of Millionaires who do nothing but squander their inherited wealth as opposed to capitalising on it.
I hear you. I have no doubt he is on some kind of spectrum just the way he talks and does (or does not) string words together. It’s very very far from the normal flow of narrative that most of us manage. It’s kind of like a very old processor trying to do too many jobs at once. There's something going on in that orange head that's just not quite 'right'... But if that is the case then he's been rather lucky...

The other thing to consider – is that like a lot of populist leaders he has tapped into a very broad seam of discontent that was ignored by mainstream politics. Not all of the people that voted him in are crazy right wing evangelicals. A lot are just poor white working class who have suffered under decades of globalism and are finally getting to the end of their tether…

He may be crazy, he may be stupid but if he is – well he seems to be lucky and that’s often even better.

Interesting points - I tend not to worry about the method of Someones speech - granted its unconventional, but, I'm more interested in the actions.

especially "If he is stupid, he is lucky - and that's often better" - very interesting point. I will think on it.

Napoleon reckoned the best qualification for his generals was that they should be lucky...It worked for a while anyway.

What I'm waiting for is when the "poor white working class" who voted for him wake up to just what they've voted in. Probably the first time they try and get healthcare will show a lot of them.

What if Trump's business experience helps revitalize America's Industrial heartland?

I, myself, am not sure if this is even possible - but still - it is interesting to ponder.

Especially considering that Trump beat Hilary whilst spending half of what she did - that tells me he might know a thing or 2 about efficiency.

How much is it costing to transport the orange buffoon to his hideaway in Florida every weekend ?

It's interesting watching. Trump said the pipelines that he approved recently would be built with US manufactured pipe. Almost immediately there was a less publicised amendment: one pipeline that a member of his cabinet has a financial interest in is now approved to be built with foreign (Russian?) steel.

I think the Democrats are being a bit dozy and disorganised still. The Republicans were endlessly ranting against "Obamacare". The Democrats should be hard out about "Trumpcare" to make absolutely sure that the people who lose their cover know who is responsible. Trump isn't happy about that, even more reason to do it.

Apparently more in the short period he's been in power than Obama cost all last year. And Trump ranted about how much Obama cost the country in his travels...

Found this point of view on the Alt Right. Might give Brian d'M a giggle anyway.

No, the if is very much the be all and end all - even with a leg-up, it is still very easy to make a bad business investment and go broke - for example - former NBA, Baseball stars etc. in the US - earned Millions, made some bad investments - now broke.

This is not to say the US doesn't have racists in it, but the most racist country in the world? get off the grass!

Trump Winery seeks more foreign workers this season:

    http://www.stuff.co.nz/world/america...rs-this-season

"Whitely said she assumed her company would be flooded with people applying for the jobs because of all the media coverage Trump Winery has received for using the H-2A program.

"Guess how many applicants we had? ... 13,'' she said. "And they were all from places like the Philippines, Indonesia, Kenya, Nigeria. We did not have one American worker apply on (the first job order).''

Caller "Craig" to talkback just after 12 noon..."Trump is an inherently honest person"

Host bursts into laughter....He's just spent some time detailing most of what's been discussed here listing the ways Trump has been dishonest....

    Yokel, were you "Craig" ?
