At the local Walmart (the petri dish of all things American) - When Trump announced the proposed Tariffs on Mexico, they put the prices of Avocados from a heady 99 cents to $1.30 each. Four days later they had to throw away literally hundreds of them. Americans do not like paying more for their goods, and all the Chinese made stuff, which is like, you know, near everything - has gone up in price.
