Disclaimer: I don't usually get involved in debates about climate change/global warming - (I'm more concerned about the manner in which we're fucking up the environment around us but)......

I'm always amused when people declare with absolute certainty that nothing is happening other than a normal cyclical pattern and that the earth was like this 20,000 years ago.

Do they not stop to realise that this time around the earth has near on 8 billion inhabitants exacerbating the problem? And while the earth may reverse the so-called perpetual cycle over the next 20,000 years, are humans still going to be around to enjoy it or are we unwittingly heading the way of the dinosaurs?
