That is because realistically there aren't any. A vote for anyone but Hillary or Donald would be like voting for (many years ago I know) Social Credit or the Values Party. Protest vote and all that...

'Most Americans'... did you take a poll or did you read that in the Harold?

"Most Americans" would know the name Ross Perot, so as usual, the old git is full of it.

In respect of a protest vote, that has been known to change Governments - the NZ Party's 12.2% in 1984 (which didn't get them any seats) was very helpful to the Labour Party .

Did that not kick off the move to MMP?

Surely a better system that FPP and a two horse race.

    I think so.

The NZ Party got 12.2% for no seats, but Social Credit with 7.6% of the votes got 2 seats.

Fair comment. - Look at the way MSM crucified Ron Paul by totally excluding him and got away with it.

Americans generally are so patriotic that they follow their leaders almost without question - just an observation from having been there and those that I have known!

Always liked Americans but have no faith in their governments - there's plenty of evidence of their faults - might be different if they were actually in control!

"IMO" - makes not much difference - tweedle dumb or tweedle dee - they are only puppets!

The interesting point being if Donald gets in and then finds out that he is not actually in charge only a figurehead - what will he do?

Clinton on the other hand will do anything she is told - ANYTHING!

I thought MMP was at least a couple or 3 elections after that.

Interesting - apart from the War Mongering - what makes you choose Trump over Hilary?

(for the record - I would choose to abstain - I couldn't bring myself to implicitly support either of them)
