If the Republicans have any sense they will surprise Trump by supporting the Impeachment - yank that rot out by the roots and get a person in that actually knows how to do the job.

To me impeachment is just a side show. The main event will be Trump getting voted out in 2020 (then the avalanche of charges post election will have him in jail).
If the republicans ditch Trump in a surprise impeachment ambush, and they get a decent candidate up for the presidency, they could actually win it in 2020. With Trump. not a chance.

The facts are Trump is deeply unpopular, a straight our criminal, and prisoner in waiting on tax evasion charges alone. Shoot the messenger all you like, it does not change the underlying truth.

Bill Taylor's letter to the impeachment inquiry is an interesting read. The man was a career diplomat who has served under both Democrat and Republican presidents.
Austingturd's unhinged fantasies become a little more understandable, he watches Bongino. I watched as much Bongino as I could take. Factually he's wrong. The Steele dossier is not what kick started the Russia investigation. Most of the rest of what I saw has the word "if" doing seriously heavy work.
Trump compared the impeachment inquiry to a lynching which did not go down well in parts of the US of A. Lubyanka Lindy Graham backed him up but Moscow Mitch McConnell distanced himself.
McConnell finds himself in an interesting situation as he approaches an election year. He is polling 20% support in his home state. He wil not be happy with that, something needs to change. A different president perhaps?

To understand the legalities involved in Trump’s various escapades I listen to several US legal podcasts. One such mentioned this legal court room tactic.

I agree, though I'm not aware of any outlets that are actually unbiased.
I posted that one at random out of the many outlets that have released the damming transcript of the diplomat. Not that I think anyone if they were being honest did not already know was what had actually happened.

One of the biggest problems in USA politics is each side does not care when their pollies play up, only when the other sides do. They do not seem to realize ALL POLLIES need to be held to account for this never ending river of bullshit.
