To hear the right-wingers, of course, Hillary is the mother of all evil. They remind me of all the left-wingers and liberals among university students and liberal arts professors in previous decades. If you were to utter the name "Richard Nixon" aloud in such a group, you could see hackles rise and hear hisses and groans. In either case, Right or Left, their visceral hatred was absurd. Leaving Nixon aside, Hillary is not evil. She is an Establishment Democrat, and therefore beholden to the lawyers, the teachers unions, Wall Street traders and bankers, what's left of Big Labor, the bureaucrats in the federal government (esp. in the State Dept.), Democrats in state government, and the Washington/New York media. What you get with an Establishment Democrat is more-of-same but with a liberal slant (I use "liberal' here with its US political connotations). What you get with an Establishment Republican, say a Mitt Romney or either of the Bushes, is more-of-same but with a conservative slant.

The prevalence of polarising morons seems to be on the rise. The Brexit, US election, Bush did 911s, anti-moniers (and their often misguidedly related anti-semites), anti-vaccers, anti-sciencers, anti-govts, etc. It's enough to make you clutch at the straw that they may not actually be on the rise, but the are simply finding the exposure. Will the free (and all to frequent) speech platform that is the internet be what brings down democracy?

FWIW (for instance, if you are one who moves your money around in order to protect it against any fallout from the coming USA election), it is looking increasingly likely that Hillary is going to beat Trump by a goodly margin.

If you don't understand that many of us are voting against the greater of two evils, rather than for someone else, think about the recent example of George W.
