Its only gone to shit because of the erosion of laws put in place to stop the system falling apart.
I think it was based on a good premise but when you have outright scumbags elected to congress and pretty much every other political position in the land who are just there to enrich themselves the system is never going to work as it should. ALL the top democrats to a man are laundering money and taking bribes for political kick backs all over the shop. Im sure all the top republicans are in on the gig too but we have the evidence now to prove what the likes of the clintons, biden and pelosi have been doing and thats why they are freaking out so much about Trump.
That is where the USA has lost its way. And its nothing to do with Trump. This was set in motion decades if not a century ago. If anything he's the only one in the last 50-100 years who seems intent on fixing SOME of the issues.
And its still better than the bolshevik revolution the likes of the greens and Ardern want to have here.
We literally have a system similar Germany's. I dont think we are in any position to act like our system is better than even the USA's. IF anything I think we should move to Australias. No list mp's. And ALL reps are elected by the people!
