Now that Trump has been impeached by the House of congress, Unlike Nixon who quit prior to being impeached, he can never be pardoned for these crimes. He cannot pardon himself , and he cannot be pardoned by a future president.
Even if a subsequent president wanted to pardon Trump they can not.

Regardless of whether a sitting president can be indicted and convicted on such criminal charges, Trump will become liable to them at some point.

Trump is the weirdest choice of President ever. There is a reason for that. Such things do not happen by accident. Either you're witnessing an epic battle that you'll see in the movies in 10 years time, or it's another sideshow and we'll be here in 10 years time still lying to ourselves.
