Arguing over who is the worst when both wings same bird has been historically proven to be true to this date etc... is pretty fuckin' stupid.

There is a question mark over why Trump is there. Why such a politically "violent" reaction to something that quite clearly both sides are doing and all sides have done. That Bush and Blair are walking around as free men astounds me and shows just how bent things can become. We're either in the process of such things being addressed, and Trump is the face, OR, we're in the middle of the same old games.

Yes, both sides look like fuckin' nightmares on paper, but let's see what happens, because the Dems have started down a road they may well have been led to by those promoting Trump. It could be the "game", but given the shit that has taken place, I'd say since Bush and Blair or even Thatcher and Reagan etc... but it goes back further than that, but given that this shit does take place under the watch of "honest" people who do lay their lives on the line for the antics that their, and other's, country(s) deems fit to pull, and given that they have access to the tools to find out what's actually going on because they actually do the job too, and given, fark, the list of reasons to shit the nonsense down is almost endless..., then it is quite possible that there's something else coming down the tubes.

Trump is the weirdest choice of President ever. There is a reason for that. Such things do not happen by accident. Either you're witnessing an epic battle that you'll see in the movies in 10 years time, or it's another sideshow and we'll be here in 10 years time still lying to ourselves. I reckon there's a bit of a fight going on, and the "bad" guys and fed up with the badder guys.
Great post. In the last day or so I have been thinking along similar lines regarding how the likes of Bush and Blair are still walking around free. I'm coming to the realization that Trump will likely never answer for his crimes, tax fraud, blackmail etc. Simply because to do so would have the powers that be admitting that the system is deeply flawed - and we cannot have that can we. Trump is a weird choice, but he is setting presidents that those following will do as well. Can't see anyone ever obeying a subpoena from the oversight committee ever again. And when the dems get back in, when ever that may be - the republicans will be howling with rage that the dems are pulling "a Trump". One big farcical pantomime the whole thing.

Simple. The democrats put all their eggs in the very unpopular Hillary Clinton basket. Trump got in because he is slightly less unpopular than her.

Trump is small biccies in many ways. One thought I do find amusing though, is that Trump's supposed behaviour is pretty common place when considering the business and social environment that he has operated in over the years. This is evidenced by him not being enclosed by bars, cough cough Blair Bush cough cough. As such, most of what we consider naughty isn't frowned upon by those who it is normalised for... or at the very least have fuckloads of money and/or great lawyers and/or powerful friends who know almost everything about everyone, because they have access to the database to get the dirt they need to apply the requisite pressure blah blah blah. Yeah, whilst it is pantomime stuff, it's actually being played out in front of us, us commenting proving that very thing. Sometimes you have to fight fire with fire, and I reckon Trump is that fire. A perfect fit when you consider his length of service in and around that pantomime.

Ayr... that's how it works. As they say, we don't vote governments in, so less unpopular wins. Oh to have the eyes and ears of those who matter eh.

Hard to disagree with that - and as a side bar, it would be fascinating to know what dirt he got on Lindsay Grahame to bring him into line.

Over the course of the House inquiry, political groups connected to Trump and the GOP dumped close to $17 million on ads attacking vulnerable House Democrats on impeachment, according to The New York Times.

Actually Jason has it wrong. Again. Hillary got more votes than Trump so she was demonstrably more popular. Although getting three million more votes than the least popular candidate ever isn't much to crow about.

Since Rudy Giuliani seems to be feeding Trump unhinged conspiracy theories people are interested in what Rudy is thinking. There is an interesting interview in New Yorker magazine:

    http://nymag.com/intelligencer/2019/...ody-marys.html

This morning, our time, Giuliani appeared on Facebook. His page attracted instant interest because it proclaimed he was a government employee, nobody knew about that, and that he was a former Attorney General of the USA, which was also a well kept secret.

I've just arrived home from Christmas dinner and on checking, his page no longer claims he is a government employee, and it has been amended to read Associate AG.

So he had a bt of bother setting up a Facebook page, he's ancient after all, but he's Trump's cyber security tzar. He's in charge of all "the cyber". Good luck with that.

Consider that both sides have the same dirt on Graham. One side has been using it to leverage his position and the other has just recently gotten a hold of it and know that he has been leveraged. I do wonder, when impeachment starts proper, just how many will throw themselves onto their swords for the greater good given that both sides know what each other knows and who has a track record of "being open to suggestion" etc... One things for sure, there's something else going on outwith the finger pointing of who's less dirty.

Across the board that obviously wasn't the case... unless you were limiting what he said to the "popular vote".

It doesn't matter "who" wins - they are all compromised and controllable - the only losers are the electorate at large. - - never been any different.

Quite possibly... but that doesn't matter anymore does it. I just wanna know what Trump knows. Let's get him on the stand and hear what he has to say, because that will be worth watching.
