The current court case is unusual in that it has already been all the way to the Supreme Court - which sent it back to the lower court. When it went back to the lower court Trump's team again lost. So they have again appealed to the appeals court which has already denied their appeal. Yes, it is getting ridiculous but team Trump is desperate. As always, Trump is playing for time.

If, or more likely, when they lose again, I'd expect that they will make a case that nothing should be done so close to an election. That didn't stop the FBI from reopening an investigation into Hillary's emails a few weeks prior to the election. An investigation which again found nothing, but by then it was too late the damage had been done.

Found nothing partly because subpoenaed devices not authorized for official coms were destroyed. Lest we forget...... Or the fact James Comey let her off the hook with out when he was not in a position to do so. Your memory is failing pritch..

Honestly, with using the premise of everything not coming from right wing news site is fake The likes of DL could be in their front yard, and if a CNN reporter were to pass by and say "Bro, your house is on fire", they would turn around and and see the billowing flames and smoke and would say "Oh, fake news, that is just the toast burning in the kitchen."

Even though patriotic republicans are mobilizing against Trump, the die hard supporters are sucking up every bit of diorama coming out Trumps arse like it's a chocolate fountain at an all you can eat buffet.

That interview with Swan made it apparent that Trump was entirely ignorant about postal voting. His position was and has been, absentee voting good, postal voting bad. They are the same thing.

He then went on about dead people getting voting forms, he even trotted out that old tale about the family dog getting voting forms. Swan repeatedly tried to explain these weren't voting forms, they were application forms.

I note this morning that Trump, or more likely one of his staff, has sent a tweet indicating that he now understands these details. We can but hope.

This morning it's all over Twitter that during a televised speech he with the best words mispronounced Yosemite. 'Yo Semite'. The name is a bit tricky and some of us might get it wrong, but an American, the president no less? The ridicule is justified. There are references to the composer Mo Zart, or the painter D Vincey etc etc.



Note: Jonathon Swan has posted a correction so I should repeat it. It seems that while overwhelmingly it is application forma that are posted out, there are a couple of states have posted out voting forms.

This is interesting. The professor is famous for his system of successfully predicting the outcome of elections and the major news organisations go to him for a story from time to time. This is the first time I have seen him predict a Trump loss. One 'key' to have changed is the civil unrest key.

His Prediction was that Trump would win the Popular vote.

He was correct on Trump winning the Election, but since it's the Popular Vote (and not the overall result) that his model predicts, then it's relevant to point out that he wasn't correct in 2016.
