This ad is being aired on TV in 'battleground' states. It is also being pushed online. It has been produced by a group, 'Republican Vets Against Trump'.

Humorous in a way, in that Don is not the only US politician who has avoided military duty (certainly since the Vietnam Years). It would surely make a long list.

    Very interesting...

Looking at their website - with a bunch of people with testimonials: https://rvat.org/

I can't help but think, I've seen something Similar, Before

by some very rough maths, on the RVAT website - there's some 500-600 testimonials, not exactly a massive wave of disgruntled former republican voters, more like a drop in the Ocean.

However, looking at their main page: Defending Democracy - I see some interesting patterns in their leadership - all seem to be late 90s to early 2000s era Republicans Aka NeoConservatives - The political landscape has moved on, in a large part to the failed policies of the NeoCons - and now they are upset that they are no longer relevant...

Prior to Clinton presidents tended to have military experience.

Slick Willy got educational deferments, I don't know how many but he did spend a lot of time at universities including Oxford and Yale Law. He was a Rhodes Scholar after all.

George W was in the Texas Air National Guard during Vietnam which would appear to be as safe a posting as it'd be possible to get at the time. Still, that counts.

    Obama had no military experience.

Trump had five draft deferments. The final one being a dodgy bone spurs medical certificate signed by a doctor who was his father's tennant.

Most politicians now have no military experience, although due to their almost continuous wars there are quite a few in Congress who do, including at least two who were wounded in action. Dan Crenshaw (R) lost an eye to an IED while serving as a Navy SEAL officer. Tammy Duckworth (D) a former army Lt Col, lost both legs when an RPG hit the helicopter she was flying. Other vets are currently standing in the upcoming elections.

Well, with the Russians supposedly for Trump and the Chinese supposedly against Trumps' re-election, then that should help balance things up ... 8-)

If it was anybody else you would not believe this, but Trump? Yep, I'm a believer.

There is an interesting video on youtube regarding the construction of the new wall sections and they have lots of contractor teams laying miles of fence. Quite interesting how the steel is welded on-site and then concrete filled and allowed to cure, before being lifted into place, welded and concreted into the ground.
    "Just 3 miles" isn't true.

    :
In September 2019, Trump said he planned to build 450–500 miles of new wall by the end of 2020.

In September 2019, Trump said he planned to build 450–500 miles of new wall by the end of 2020.[ As of November 2019, at least 76 miles of existing wall had been replaced or reinforced during Trump's presidency, but no new wall had been completed.
    https://www.newsweek.com/cbp-no-new-border-wall-1472077

But yes the US has completed more than 3 miles
    but not by much
As of May 2020, only 16 miles out of 194 miles of wall constructed under the Trump administration was not replacement fencing.

That's without the fact that the US tax payers are going to pay for it unlike his promise or the fact because he wanted it painted black its going to cost an extra 3 billion dollars.....

Trump is keen to get his face on mount Rushmore, apparently there is not enough room on the front as there is not enough stable rock left. He is an unstable president though, so.....
Alternatively, there must be plenty of room around back next to the existing Rushmore presidents arseholes, Trump will be right at home next to those
