Actual investigations into vote fraud in the states show it just doesn't happen all that much.

    And it's certainly not a D-only issue.

Just because Trump has started yapping on about it, doesn't mean it's a genuine problem. He's doing this for partisan reasons, it's another kind of gerrymandering.

Except he is on record as saying pretty much exactly that against McCain, despite Trump himself being a serial draft dodger. So why wouldn't he say it about others? Did he say it or not? He lies so often, way more even than other pollies from both sides of the divide. His base simply accepts he is a bare faced liar, what a joke.

Some have questioned the Atlantic article, others though are now corroborating the details.

It's complicated, but Trump has already threatened to cut off two of his kids if they joined the military. Junior and Tiffany, for those with inquiring minds.

Just don't automatically take the link at the top of the first page to be the definitive answer.

Only a lazy cunt would do that.

I find it hard to imagine that even trump would be that stupid to say a highly decorated former 20 plus year naval officer and pow(Mccain) was a loser in front of a senior marine officer.
Especially referring to the American war dead at the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery in France in 2018 as “losers” and “suckers.”
It seems so well beyond the stupid remarks he normally makes. I just can't comprehend that he could possibly be that stupid.
That said I have I underestimated the stupidity of American before.

It is hard to comprehend but it fits the pattern.

Trump wanted to tell the world that McCain got special treatment because he was an admiral's son. Mattis told Trump that was not true and he shouldn't say it. Because he was an admiral's son, McCain was the highest value prisoner the North Vietnamese had.

Trump cannot conceive of doing anything but there's not a quid pro quo. Which may ring a bell?

Read what he said to General Kelly at the cemetary where Kelly's son who was killed in action was buried. That has been verified by other sources.

Here's Trump on McCain during the 2016 election race.

That had seen that one, I can believe he was that thick on that occasion.
It was the other two I had trouble with.

Sending the ballots out to registered voters is how it works in this country for local body elections and I can't recall any problems.
    There's no misleading.

As you correctly pointed out, different States have different rules as to how they handle elections - some having a very robust mail-in and absentee voting system, whereas others don't.

I can link you to a Legal opinion on the matter if you'd like which outlines the specific legal differences and concerns about Absentee voting vs Mail-in Voting.

Sure, in a normal election cycle where most of the voting is done in person, it doesn't happen all that much.

However, in an abnormal election cycle where most of the majority Democratic voting areas now want to run Mail in Voting with large variations in how robust the verification process is, there is a legitimate concern.

Now - I should add for the sake of fairness, that there's an element of trumping up the issue.

Almost but not quite. There's virtually zero concern.
