Bernies campaign was taking a lot of the lime light from Hillary and causing her campaign to spend time squabbling with him. No, I don't think Bernie had a choice - hence my original question of 'what else could he do'.

I'm well aware that what I think he should have done was never a realistic option.

I'd like to think though that Bernie had the integrity to want to do it, but I suspect he simply lacked the courage to actually do it.

You posted Jill Stein as an option (he had none) in the edit... but yeah I agree with the above. However, leaders are meant to lead no matter what, even if it costs them their head.

At least 17 accounts. Going after Carter Page was a proven sham. Comey bare faced lied to Congress about the Steele dossier not being a major component for FISA renewals.

Possibly but unlikely. My reading suggests that the FISA warrant request in respect of Carter Page contained inaccuracies. The FISA Courts have requested a list of means by which the FBI will prevent this occurring again. Carter Page is not "people".

One of more FBI agents will be wearing a rocket up the arse about now.

People or not, shirley you approve of due process over out and out fabricated lies... which is what omissions of data that contradict the position the FBI trying to put forwards, is.

I'd be extremely surprised if this stopped with the FBI. Bring on the impeachment. It should be interesting to see who framed who and who has the unredacted evidence to prove it.

Yep. Previously I had a rather jaundiced view of the FBI. Some of the "terrorist plots" they uncovered didn't exist until the FBI manufactured them.

Trump though has attacked the law enforcement and intelligence services in an effort to destabilise them and/or use them for his own purposes. In doing so he created some unlikely FBI sympathisers.
