The references I've seen in the past to the so called "Squad" going on about them hating the USA... When I have gone to look at what they said, and more importantly the context they said it - did not even begin to equate to hate. They just looked to be wanting to improve things (in their mind).
So it seemed to me if a white polli wanted to improve things to their mind, it got debated and put through the processes. If a polli of color, (and especially a woman one) wants to do the same, they are accused of hating the USA as it is now. And after reading what they actually said, it became clear to me at least the hate thing was a load of crap. All the noise from the right leaning pollis seemed to me to be aimed at creating fear and anger in the right wings base.
Bernie Sanders wants to Improve things in his Mind, and he gets the same, if not more crap for it.

But back to the Squad and Co - Ask yourself what they want to change, then ask the stated reasons for wanting to change it. They are Socialists (Cold War anyone, The US vs Socialism/Communism), their statements towards taxation is in complete contrast to the so-called 'American Dream'. They are in opposition to everything that the US has historically upheld, which is why they want to change just about everything to do the US.

Has Bernie been accused of hating the USA? Not that I have seen.
The tax thing has also been put forward by the likes of Elizabeth Warren, and I have not seen her being accused of hating her country. Furthermore the tax rates for the rich are proposing are in fact very similar to the ones actually in place in the 50's. Was the USA ever accused of being socialist in those days due to those high tax rates?
You say "they" are in opposition of "everything" that the USA has historically held, despite that sounding very exhausting, I have not seen any evidence of that. I by no means think all aspects of what they say (particularly aspects of the new green deal) are good ideas, but I do support their right to put it forward without being bullied and incorrectly accused of hating their country. Unless you have some verbatim quotes that contradict what I'm saying, (that are not taken out of context snippets) we could discuss?

Newly uncovered tax documents show Trump kept '2 sets of books' and may have committed financial fraud

The US is the only developed country that does not have a form of universal healthcare. Over half a million people are bankrupted every year by illness. The insurance policies are very expensive and full of holes.

US infrastructure is crumbling. Trump mentions it and so does Elaine Chow. Elaine Chow is Secretary of Transportation, and Mrs Moscow Mitch McConnell. Everytime she mentioned infrastructure her shares in the biggest US roading company went up. No corruption there then.

Meanwhile the Government is broke due to Trump's tax cuts for the 1%.

AOC wants a 70% marginal tax rate. Naturally the Republicans find this outrageous. Back in the days when America was building things and the country was going great the marginal tax rates were as high as 90%. Reagan started the trickle down rot and ever since then the country has been going backward.

The devil is, as they say, in the detail. AOC wants the 70% to kick in after the taxpayer has made ten million dollars in any year. that won't affect most voters, although the Republicans try and sell the idea that everybody will be taxed at 70% and the MAGAts are thick enough to believe it.

Whoever the next president is they'll be faced with a Hell of a clean up job and a huge debt.

I have to admit, he is very very good at spinning bullshit to the gullible, and I mean that with sincerity, he really is very good at it.
But in all that hour and 30 minutes he did not even talk about policies. The closest he got was saying that the dems would wipe out medicare (false) and he would protect it. But did not once say how or what he would replace obama care with. So Austin, if Jacinda or Bridge said they were going to replace ACC, but would tell you after the election how that was going to happen and with what - you would be cool with that right?

The whole speech was just attack the dems and taking credit for things it is debatable he ever had a hand in and all the "this guy came up to me and said "sir blah, blah blah" stories. Just one example - the general that came up to him saying they had no bullets - yeah right

Its funny because he doesnt need to talk about policy he just needs to bring up all the dems fraud shillaries emails and he's a lock for 2020.

I make enough money not to give a toss about ACC. And personally dont even think its that great a system.
Subsidized healthcare leads to an inefficient health care system. I reckon we've got a shit load more doctors just going through the motions day after day rather than doctors that really know their shit with the current ACC system. I went to get prescription the other day. $80 later + the medicine for 10 minutes and it shouldnt of even taken that long for what I was after. Im not impressed by ACC or our health system one bit. If I had got to keep the money I have paid over my liftime I reckon I personally would be way better off.
After saying all that im still happy to pay my ACC because I do see the benefit it brings others less fortunate than myself but to act like its the be all and end all... Its just not.

And if the dems stopped doing stupid communist shit he wouldnt have anything to attack them with.

You and the dems are like the gift that keeps on giving to Trump so keep it up.

Holy shit Austin, that is a really good answer on the ACC subject, I agree with a lot of that.
Trump is still a dickhead president, and I'm still not sure why you are lumping me in with the Dems, can you not sleep at night if you don't pigeon hole people into left or right?
For what it is worth, I feel the dems are a seriously unorganised bunch of idiots. How many candidates are they putting up? Cannot take them seriously when they cannot even realise how inept that point alone makes them look.

    That's why they won't win in 2020.

While I can understand your thoughts here, my feelings are Trump idiocy outweighs them all. People are so tired of his self inflicted drama from where I was staying for my 1.5 years there. Time will tell I guess.
