Why does any party have to get an arbitrary 50% of the vote to be the most popular? That model goes back to previous generations, with just the two parties.

You could have 10 parties, 9 of which average 9.9% of the vote, and the most popular might be fuck all over 10%.

    Again, so fucking what?
Then you have a Government with only 10% support - just as the Greens, with 10% of the vote can, you claim, control the Government. I fail to see the difference.

Nobody thinks my boss's expectations that I do the job he hired me to do is unrealistic.

Obviously. And I'm sick of explaining it.
One last time: a government elected with 10% was actually elected. The greens, as a coalition partner wouldn't be.

Remember the synthetic petrol plant, first in the world. Previously the process had only worked in the lab, nobody had ever done it full size. Muldoon had it built at a cost of $17,000,000,000 IIRC. And I did see the gold embossed leather bound documents. Those dollars were a lot bigger than today's.

When it was finished we had a fully functioning plant that converted natural gas to methanol then converted the methanol to gasoline.

Then the oil price dropped. The Govt panicked and almost paid Fletcher's (?) to take it of their hands. After a brief period it was onsold to Methanex, a Canadian company, who export something approaching 2,500,000 tons of methanol a year.

The methanol to gasoline part of the plant was cut up and sold for scrap.

    Think big? Big fuck up.

I missed out on Think Big Projects, I was working for the Post Office at $7.00 PH...then left to join private enterprise, in less than 2 years the rates were up to $10.00 an hour as Think Big had sucked all the tradies in.
My mate made a goodly amount of money at Marsden Pt and Glenbrook....and ' invested' it in the stock market.
Chase Corporation and the like...lost the lot. Easy come easy go he said.
DeMyer's Laws - an argument that consists primarily of rambling quotes isn't worth bothering with.

    It's not a point of view, it's a fact.

And whether you agree with them or otherwise makes not a jot of difference.
