FBMC Do the upper Coro loop, Sunday 6th March

    From the email update

"The FBMC are heading off around the loop as a farewell to the summer ride. Should be a heap of fun.

Meet at Caltex Bombay 9.30am for a 9.45am Roll, then 10.45am meet for Waikato riders at Mobil opposite Kopu Rd just Past the roundabout after Kopu bridge on the right heading towards Thames.

11am roll to Coroglen Tavern for lunch.

Anyone wanting a short ride can head back home from here.

Otherwise its on to Whitianga, then up an over the hill to Coromandel township for a cold one at the top pub, then down the coast rd to Thames, and away home"

This wont be a ride to break speed records but a Cruise around the loop, Any bike type/ style Welcomed, Just bring along a good attitude

    The Weather is looking good

Did the full Northern Loop yesterday for the first time in a year yesterday and I live there! Roads are in good nick. The only thing to watch out for is that there are still plenty of holidaymakers who insist on cutting blind corners so take extra care .

I did the loop in the company of 2 mates, one who brought something a bit special out to play - fantastic seeing it on the open road. No good for me though, the seat is far too tall

    Enjoy your day!

Good to hear the roads are good, its been over a year for me to do that stretch, this time with my Daughter on her own bike instead of on the back of mine

I once did the lower loop with this bike in the group

    Nice!!!!!!

There was a touch of pea gravel on a handful of corners between the Waikawau boat ramp and Waiomu washed off the cliffs from the rain earlier this week. However, it's easy to spot so shouldn't be an issue

Thanks for letting me tag in guys.

Hadn't been out on the bike for ages, and it was the first Coro loop for the Striple.
Found some great hospitality and amazing views at Kuaotunu too.

Good blast up to Coromandel to blow out some cobwebs. Although sat behind a cop for 20km on way down to Thames - perhaps karma!

Hope you all made it home safely,

    Ryan
