Might be some cheap S21's around later in the year.

I nearly went for the S21 last time as they were $100 cheaper than the M7RR, but got a good deal on a set from Moto1.

Or Ducati just need to stop coming up with silly tyre sizes?

Yes, I have that thought every 5k ........ I'm pretty sure the new V4 runs a 20/60/17 - another odd size?

They are in bed with Pirelli who supply stock tyres.

At least Michelin are selling the Power RS in NZ otherwise if you want to stay 'stock' sizing it's Pirelli.

Not all Ducatis wear rears in this size - they have seen the light on a number of models what wear 180/55 now.

Yeah can do, actually the lower seat height would be welcome if I left the rear preload and dropped the fork tubes a few mm.

Traction control probably needs adjusting a number after as well. Side stand might need work .......

I do like the profile of the 60 - which is why it's there apparently. Maybe some Italian couldn't get the clearance they wanted on the front end so bumped up the rear tyre! Or it's just a wanky marketing thing running a 'race' size.

Meh. Italian stuff. Never had that on the Honda

It's a common profile for race tyres. Makes more sense than the 50 profile that is often found on litre plus Jap bikes.

Ok just replaced my first rear S22 with another. Really nice tyre, but I'm not sure longevity will exceed the S21 as I ended up with 5k from it. I was getting anywhere between 5k and 6.5k from the S21 rear.

Probably fit an S22 front in the next month.

200/60 is fairly normal these days.

    Fuck that noise.

If you think you are going to be hampered by the ride height change, even it back up at the front end.

No. The traction control will cope just fine with the change in rolling radius, otherwise you couldn't change brands of tyre. Theu all have a different size carcass.

I was going to say that 5k isn't very exciting, then I looked at your profile...

4000 kms jeeezus I'm due a new set for Summer but still on the S20's !!!!!!!
I keep the pressures high and ride like the grandad I am, almost 10,000 kms now but they're doubtful for a WOF, I'm happy !

Today I'm looking in Palmy for a new set, but have an open mind as to what I get.
    Round and black I suspect !! ??

You on S21 or S22? Rear suspension is pretty sound and serviced 3k ago by KSS. Front is very kind to tyres and S21 usually lasts 12k+.
