Anyone got a 36mm 1/2 inch drive socket to let me borrow?

Long story short, My Wife has tidied the Garage, and I can't find my 36 mm socket. Bike has eaten a nail on the rear tyre and is currently stuck at a friends place, waiting for me to whip the tyre off, to get the puncture repaired.

If anyone in Aucks has such a socket - would be eternally grateful if I could borrow it so I can get back on 2 wheels.

Don't need to - Mother in Law was up last weekend, and she always does a great job of putting stuff back in the wrong place.....

Still, it doesn't help me back on 2 wheels

Walk into Mitre 10 and buy one, likely cheaper than driving across Auckland to borrow one.

Just use your hand torque wrench, calibrate it from the mech one on a cage wheel nut or something if you have to.

Are you casting aspersions that Cyclespot would put a nail through someones tyre just for bagging them

Bit late but pm'd. Theres gonna be a whole lot heartache if you buy another and then the old one turns up, eek... How the fuck do you keep a neatly organised and asthetically pleasing tool box when then that sort of shit happens....

Those circumstances sound kinda familiar...except in this case it was me who "tidied" the workshop area when we lived in Welly. By the time we got to Aucks and unpacked all the garage/workshop guff, couldn't find my 36 mm socket at all. Stink too, since it was a proper 6 sided version to avoid rounding the nut...bought another one from Repco and funnily enough, next day located the "missing" one...entirely by accident of course

So just buy another one, that way the original one will soon turn up...

Oh, and yeah, go and "tidy" the kitchen. My wifey is smart enough to leave the garage/workshop stuff alone

So this AM, my Wife found the Socket (I suspect she remembered another place she must have 'tidied' it to)

so all is well in the land again.

Would like to say a Massive thanks to LuckyLegs for offering to let me borrow his.
