The smart companies are moving south. Cheaper rent, cheaper staff & no traffic woes.
Brother has set up their NZ headquarters just down the road from me.

Motorways have become so clogged I often see scooters on them.

Had a fun time coming home - Police had to stop the Motorway top pick up a Cargo Strap.

So I filtered to the front - had a lovely clear stretch of HW1 by Wairau park - once the Cop had cleared the strap - gave us the Thumbs up to Proceed.

Clear Motorway + Hayabusa + good excuse to try my hand at 0-100 = Fun.

And for a few seconds - I had clear Motorway ahead of me, Clear motorway behind, in peak hour traffic.

Ahh the simple pleasures of Aucklanders.
Did you just see what you wrote?
Down here you can have that & a fast winding TT on your own every night on your 12 minute commute. But hey, Auckland is where it's at apparently.

I don't understand the obsession with the CBD. Why does everyone want to be there? Albany has a business park, Highbrook as well, and that's still main Auckland (plenty of other options). Instead we have people commuting from the north to south of the bridge (and v.v) not to mention from Hamilton...

Then again, I'm hardly a saint. I don't commute much, but travelling between clients can mean anything between Orewa and beyond Pokeno (ideally never those 2 or close, in a day).

You've got to be kidding yourself to think there's only skilled people in Dorkland, wake up and smell the roses mate. There's real skills all over this fine country and some of us get to work in 7 minutes on a pushy

    I like Auckland.

And yes, it was a simple pleasure - the only problem was that I was just starting to really enjoy it when I noticed the needle tick passed 100....

It's not Aucklanders, it's just people.

I've been in jams here (Wellington) caused by people slowing down for the flashing lights warning them of the tractor mowing grass well off the road.

When the road's at capacity, the slightest slow-down at some point makes the traffic build up.

Down the road from 'buttfuck nowhere?' That'll look good on the letterhead .

Yes, but where will the bosses have their liquid lunches?
