    Full length or shorty levers?

Considering getting some shorty levers (asv in red, of course) but want to hear pros and cons first? Anyone tried shorties then gone back to full length? If so, why? I two finger brake and four finger clutch (but only cause I have to otherwise it squishes my other fingies). Thoughts?

Shorties are good, usually 2 finger brake and 3 finger clutch. I prefer them to stock...if your controls are light, which they mostly are these days.

Hydraulic systems work well with them ... but cable systems need a little finger strength as a little more leverage is usually required.

YOUR clutch is cable right .. ???

You can get levers with adjustable length, tweak them to suit your wish (or handguards).

Gettin me some Acerbis Multiplo E hanguards/bars in the next week. Never heard of levers with adjustable length? Only ones you can move closer if ya got short fingies.

Been using them for a couple of years at least, so they certainly exist: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trks...at=0&_from=R40

They fold for impacts near the base, adjustable distance to bar and the lever length can be altered.

some love them. I dot like them very much.

I bought some levers that were adjustable in length, and I had the length about halfway between the shortest and longest degree of adjustment (full length about the same as stock)
If you arent sure youll like them, going the adjustable route might work for you, as I know of others who had difference preference on length between the clutch and brake, but still wanted their levers to match.

I'm running shorties and like them.

Do what I did before you spill big bucks on your preferred brand buy a set of shorties from here to see if you like - they are cheap and delivery is quick (5-10days). I struggled to fault the product actually but I was 'treating' myself to a set of CRG levers so needed to know if the shorty option was suitable for me personally.
Once you know what you like, buy the expensive ones and flick the others on TM.

CRG levers are great, and likely so are some of the others mentioned, but most are made for BMW S1000R, R1, CBR1000RR etc etc. Bosslady is probably correct in her choice of brand as they do make levers for bikes like hers.

I now have some first hand experience of "folding" levers. They broke higher up

To be fair, the scrapes were on top of the lever so possible the lever tried to fold the wrong way... I was tumbling at the time, so not really in the right frame of mind to wonder what the bike was doing...

Yea took a few broken "unbreakable" levers to realise we had to leave it screwed on loosely enough to let the entire assembly roll around on the bar in a crash.
