Giant motorway holdup

Thankfully I rode the bike this morning.

Got on to the Bridge going south and the traffic just was stopped. Filtered all the way to Newmarket flyover (6 km?) and there was an accident involving two cars. A people mover was on it's side facing the wrong way against the outside wall of the flyover and a car nose into the center wall, two out of four lanes closed.

By the time I reached the accident site there were four bikes filtering in a group, and once passed the accident the road was almost empty - great ride from there to work.

Bet the tail back went right up the northern motorway before it started moving at any speed.

Yeup. Still plenty on their mobile (how many drivers think hands free includes putting it on speaker and holding up to your face?!), following too close and not watching the road ahead...

LMFAO, haven't heard that saying since I left Auckland 10 yrs ago.

They only just allowed filtering in QLD (late last year), so its not well practiced there, so coming back to kiwiland has got me doing it again.

Aucklanders are terrible. All it takes is a car with its bonnet up on the side of the motorway and everybody needs to slow down and have a gawk. Another hour in traffic for the sheeple because everybody needs to slow down to look at another broken down poxy holden...
