    Paint chips

I have just managed to put a small paint chip in the tank of my otherwise pristine bike.
It looks like its right through to the metal.
apart from repainting the whole tank what are my options ?

Paint repair kit off eBay and then some 3M paint protection film for next time.

You might try "The Touch Up Guys". If you have a branch over there. Locally, I have had outstanding service for a very small price on such things.

Couple paint shops in CHCH will supply you with a small colour matched bottle and brush combo of proper vehicle paint (smells goooood) for stone chip touch-ups. I use them on the cars and bikes.

Takes some care and skill to do a tidy touch-up and it is never going to be new paint smooth but if you do it well only you will know where it is.

Nah - if it is down to the metal it will rust then work it's way under the good paint and bubble that.

If nothing else get some of the Mrs clear coat nail polish (or your own if so inclined) and pop a dab on it to seal the metal against corrosion.
